You may remember the spike threshold/damage event within a second discussion from when especially glass cannon players suffered from what was thought to be one-shot deaths. We also reduced the threshold for the spike and adjusted the damage event by a second. Apocalypse Animals introduced, and even in the game’s base, we can take the enemies damage into consideration and make them less steep. Worldslayer want to ensure its player’s own experience. While some players liked the challenge, we understand many others were frustrated, thus spawning the Carry-Culture where some players wanted to be carried especially through Challenge Fifties 10 and 9 (Tone 10 and 6). The purpose of our pre-launch vision for Outriders was to move ahead with Challenge Tiers and have time and build-optimization to push through these spikes. For some players, these spikes were like hitting brick walls, something they felt they couldn’t overcome. Some of you probably remember some of the difficulties that are increasing when trying to travel through expeditions. In the first half of the course, Combat Outriders was extremely volatile, pun intended. Now lets look inside a moment at the start of the game. This should give you the confidence that when we ever have to address something, we will do our best so to achieve a positive result and that a nerf wouldn’t be implemented only if we couldn’t resolve the associated problems in an acceptable timeframe. What follows will hopefully give you some insight into what is coming and also show how much we’ve tried to focus on improving the player experience and improving the performance of the underperforming content. Some of these changes were tested during Worldslayer Betas earlier this year (thank you again to all beta testers!) and came up well with players, so were excited to roll them out to everyone else next week. Understanding these is the first time you’ll learn about the changes you will see when the worldslayer launches next week. As long as we keep looking for something you wanted to share with you, we will use this post to share the broader directions of the new developments, and reconcile the philosophies that the future will be based upon. You would have an enormous power to choose the right time instead of a game of The Wifes which is easily understood by playing Worldslayer. These are changes that are in the works since the New Horizon update last November, the many hundred individuals involved in the game being affected.
